CA Rehearsals begin!!

With only one month away from our trip it is so important for everyone to attend all the rehearsals for our trip. We plan on rehearsing two days each week. I will be giving out lots of info at each RH as well. See you there!!

Mini Camp-Beginning of the year stuff!

Camp was awesome. It was so great to see so many of you!! If you missed due to vacation, hope you had fun, if you missed cause you just didn't come then.....hmmmmmmmm everyone else made it!!!!! I want everyone to know we have a big start to our year with several performances that come early in the year sooooo that means we are going to do seating auditions right away. You should begin working on a solo of your choice NOW. You will need to play aboiut 32 measures of it and we will have a very SHORT excerpt form a piece we get the first few days of school. Get your solo music ready NOW do not delay! Be prepared. School e-mail is down and has been for a few days so if you need to contact me email me at suzistreble@gmail.com or facebook me. Be sure you have signed up for the text message alerts. Using your cell phone text the word "orch" to 75667. It is safe, you don't get spam, and no one sees your cell number.

Only a few spots left for CA!!!!

If you plan on going to the ASTA National Conference in Feb. 2010 PLEASE sign up by Aug. 15. This will be our final deadline and any spots after that will be very limited IF available. There are only a few spots left so please make sure to go to www.music-travel.com and register for our trip. This was an invitation only performance and our group was selected to perform. The conference will be awesome for us and we will also be sight-seeing in San Fransico!! It will be a great trip and an awesome experience. Please let me know if you have any question. This is open to all orchestra members.

2009 Mini Camp-Aug. 10-11

Mrs. Swayze and Mr. Plewa were to have sent out info at the end of the school year to all incoming freshman regarding the mini camp on Aug. 10-11 from 6-9 p.m. in the orchestra room at ZCHS. All current HS orchestra members received info at the end of the year. If you did not remember to take your form home or if you did not get info at your MS, please e-mail me at slyons@zcs.k12.in.us or call 408-7828 to let me know you will be attending. It is important I know for music purposes and of course for snacks!!!!! The zorch e-mail list is not updated yet due to class lists not being available so some might not get the e-mail reminder. Please spread the word. Many of you already registered at the end of the year. It seems one of the MS parents is getting calls regarding the camp and she would prefer you call me.

All 2009-2010 orchestra students are expected to attend!
